The city of Munich is growing and so is the number of commuters. Measures to avoid unnecessary traffic, to increase the efficiency of mobility and at the same time to reduce CO2 and exhaust air emissions are urgently needed. IMEAS project partner B.A.U.M. Consult is commissioned by the City of Munich to conduct convoy consultations with accompanying workshops over a period of 10 months. The format is similar to “Mobil.Pro.Fit”, where B.A.U.M. Consult already supported about 90 firms in the development of company mobility concepts. In the actual Munich version, the scope is larger. Up to 10 local companies take part in each round with a total of 4 individual on-site consultations. These are flanked by 4 joint workshops on knowledge transfer. As a result, the companies receive a mobility management concept and a results report with implemented and planned measures. In a second, trade area-related round, further companies in a defined catchment area in eastern Munich will be advised on individual and, in particular, cross-company measures. In addition to the benefits for the companies, urban interests regarding the reduction of traffic problems or bottlenecks are also addressed.
