Find below a selection of 3 tools available on the Platform: "Browse energy good practices by actor similarities", "IMEAS Energy and Climate Data Inventory" and "KGA Communal Building Pass".

BROWSE ENERGY GOOD PRACTICES BY ACTOR SIMILARITY

The tool exploits the idea of energy signature: each municipality is represented by a set of numbers, the signature, quantifying the characteristics influencing its energy consumption, its energy consumption and production. The assessment of this similarity, allows the comparison between municipalities and gives access to good practices from similar actors.
A service app enables tool customization with user provided data.

IMEAS ENERGY AND CLIMATE DATA INVENTORY

The IMEAS Energy and Climate Inventory Tool provides municipality-based data on energy consumption and production focusing on the share of renewable energy. It automatically integrates indicators and data on horizontal, vertical and/or transversal base and makes them available for other applications. The uniform tool provides a benchmark for comparing the data with the next upper-level region or other (neighboring) municipalities.
The tool also enables benchmarking municipalities and regions in the Alpine Space and thus to compare their energy and climate inventory.

KGA - COMMUNAL BUILDING PASS

The tool KGA is used to evaluate the energetic and ecological quality of public buildings. It consists groups of criteria for different types of public buildings.
The evaluation of the buildings is based on a catalog of different weighted criteria in a point system with a maximum of 1,000 points. The criteria are divided into five evaluation categories: location quality and equipment; process and planning quality; energy and supply; health and comfort; building materials and construction.
In Vorarlberg (Austria) the tool is used as rating system for additional funding, depending on the amount of points
.
