Cooperative planning processes | authorities, architects and citizens work together to develop a concept

Event 21/10/2021
Published on the platform: October 13, 2021

The cooperative planning procedure is a forward-looking planning instrument for dealing with complex urban development tasks. In the course of the event, the differences between a competition procedure and a cooperative procedure with regard to the objectives, the procedure and the type of citizen participation will be conveyed.

In a cooperative planning procedure, many competences work together. Experts from architecture, spatial planning, traffic planning and open space planning work together to develop a concept for the task at hand. Politicians and administrators contribute their views. Affected citizens are involved from the very beginning and can continuously contribute their interests and suggestions to the planning process. This usually creates broader acceptance for the result.

At this workshop, politicians and architects from exemplary cooperative procedures in Vorarlberg are invited. The guests will talk about their respective experiences with conception and implementation and will be available to answer your questions.
